Suicide Squeeze - Anna Kournikova

The Shurmur-Nator

According to Mary Cay Cabot, if Holmgren and the Brownies have their druthers, St Louis Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur will be signed, sealed and delivered in time for a Friday press conference.  In fact, Wikipedia already has him listed as the Browns head coach.  Shurmur has strong ties to the organization's brain trust, having worked with GM Tom Heckert for 8 years in Philadelphia and calling former Holmgren DC, Fritz Shurmur, uncle.  Having no head coaching experience at any level, it is impossible to predict Shurm's level of success on the North Coast, although a coalescence of opinion between president, GM and coach can't hurt.  Shurmur coached QBs for the Eagles prior to his St Louis gig and he has an excellent track record in maximizing the performance of signal callers with substandard arms (see McNabb, Bradford).  This skill plays directly into my assertion that, given the right system, Colt McCoy would lead this team to a truck load of wins.  Let us hope that this is the first yellow brick in that road.

Also...

Tate Forcier has left the Michigan football program.

The Indians #1 option for a free-agent starter is now Kevin Millwood.  The stumbling block is that the man in question would have to be willing to sign a minor league contract.  Mill was 4-16 last season.

Pretty Girl Update! - Audrina Patridge

I'd OD on Audrina if I could.  Gratzi, MTV.

Not A Misprint

You read it as I write it and, sadly, it is accurate.  The Cavs lost on the coast to the Lakers, 112-57.  For those of you who dislike math, that's a 55 point loss.  The boys looked sadly over-matched tonight, as if Walsh College taking on Ohio State ;-j or Hiram playing Duke.  This is a girl's score.  It is revolting.  And it is simply unacceptable.  I recognize that players are injured, that there is a first year coach and a hodgepodge of has beens and never will bes.  Still, there is no offense, only a swarm of individuals jacking up poor shots.  There is no rhythm, no cohesion.  Perhaps worst of all, there is no communication.  So much for all "All For One and One For All."  Even if these players care about winning, it is obvious that they do not care about each other.  Plus, they stink.  They reek like regurgitated hobo shit, like Snooki's tampon.  They are bad.  The 57 is a franchise low for points in a game.  55 is the largest margin of defeat in the league this season.  The Cavaliers shot 30% from the field (Samuels 1-12, Hickson 1-8, Williams 1-9), committed 19 turnovers to 12 assists, and made a pitiful 1-of-14 from beyond the arc.  They've lost 21 of 22.  I need hope beyond Manny Harris (8 & 6 on a bad night) and it seems not forthcoming this year.  Austin Carr and Campy Russell are attempting to mitigate the performance by ascribing a "starstruck" sensibility to the young team.  If they are correct the situation is worse than we thought.  Ugh.

What a child.  Only a very small man rubs mud in the face of his former fam.
