On the someone who's had it worse than the Tribe front, Oakland A's 1B prospect Chris Carter (#28 preseason in Baseball America) broke an 0-for-33 streak last night. An 0-for-33 streak to start his career! That's just about the only way to be pleased with an .029 average. I'm told it is the 3rd longest stretch by a non-pitcher to begin a career in modern baseball history. The Padres Joey Hamilton holds the all-time record, pitchers inclusive, at 0-for-his-1st-57.
