MLB Whistle Stops

While I've heard some conjecture that the Indians might pursue free agent Javier Vazquez, he seems to solve zero problems for the team.  Vazquez is both inconsistent and gopher ball prone, yet still demands a salary as if he were not.  Run away screaming.  My preference is still bringing Jake Westbrook back, but there has been no media discussion thereof.  Alternatively, the Phillies are not expected to offer a guaranteed contract to Jamie Moyer.  Despite his age, I find Moyer, an established winner who used to baffle the Indians when he pitched in Seattle, an intriguing option and a player I would like to see in an Indians uniform.

Also...

Removed from the Indians 40-man:  Chris Gimenez, Luke Carlin, Anthony Reyes, & Hector Ambriz.

The ChiSox re-sign Omar to a 1-yr/1.75mil deal.
